Understanding the Anatomy of the Hand

Before you begin drawing hands, it is important to understand the anatomy of the hand. The hand is made up of 27 bones, which are arranged in three groups: the carpals, the metacarpals, and the phalanges. The carpals are the eight bones that make up the wrist.
